On select last Sundays throughout the year, Society members gather at the historic Murray Theater for exclusive mystery screenings (Not open to the public). Showcasing horror, thriller, suspense, dark fantasy, and cult cinema, every film is carefully curated and kept under wraps until showtime.
Each gathering is an opportunity to connect with fellow film lovers through shared discovery, lively discussion, and a growing community built around a passion for the darker side cinema. Members are also invited to help shape the Society's future through film suggestions, feedback, and ongoing participation.
What Is Nocturne Film Society?
Functioning as a blind-box style film society, every Nocturne screening is a total mystery. You won't know what movie is playing until the projector starts rolling.
Our selections are pulled from every decade of filmmaking. One screening might feature a landmark horror classic that demands to be seen in a theater once again, while the next could spotlight an overlooked cult favorite or a hidden gem many movie fans have never had the chance to see on the big screen.
Choose from The Guest Membership ($15), perfect for testing the waters with one mystery screening; The B-Sides Membership ($25), which includes admission to two screenings; or The Archive Membership ($45), granting access to four mystery screenings.

How do membership punches work?
One punch is redeemed per event date, not per film. If a double feature is offered, members may attend both screenings using a single punch. Members who are unable to attend the first feature may also arrive later and use one punch to attend the second feature only.Are concessions available?
Yes. The Murray Theater concession stand is open during screenings, and Society members receive access to exclusive member pricing, including two large drinks and a large popcorn for $4.50!Do memberships renew automatically?
No. Memberships do not automatically renew. Once all of your screenings have been redeemed, you may purchase a new membership and continue your journey with the Society.Can members suggest films?

On select evenings, Nocturne Film Society may present a double feature. Regardless of how many films you choose to watch, only one punch is redeemed per event date.

Part of the Nocturne experience is embracing the unknown. While not every film will be everyone's favorite, every selection is carefully curated with our community in mind.
